Afnic manages most French overseas ccTLDs.
In addition to .fr, delegated to Afnic since 1986, the management of the ccTLDs for French overseas collectivities is also delegated to Afnic (like .re) or another service provider.
The Naming Charter sets out the conditions for the allocation and management of domain names for the overseas ccTLDs managed by Afnic.
Below is the situation for each collectivity:
Atlantic Ocean
– Guadeloupe (.gp): delegated to an Internet service provider (ISP);
– French Guyana (.gf): delegated to an Internet service provider (ISP);
– Martinique (.mq): delegated to an Internet service provider (ISP).
– Saint-Barthélemy (.bl): created in 2007 but not delegated.
– Saint-Martin (.mf): created in 2007 but not delegated.
– Saint Pierre and Miquelon (.pm): delegated to Afnic and opened to registration in December 2011.
Indian Ocean
– Réunion (.re): delegated to Afnic and opened to registration in July 2001.
– Mayotte (.yt): delegated to Afnic and opened to registration in December 2011.
– French Southern and Antarctic Lands (.tf) : the management of .tf has been delegated to Afnic and opened to registration since 2004.
Pacific Ocean
– Wallis and Futuna (.wf): delegated to Afnic and opened to registration in December 2011.
– New Caledonia (.nc): delegated to the Post and Electronic Communications Office (OPT) of New Caledonia (website: http://www.cctld.nc).
– French Polynesia (.pf): delegated to the Post and Electronic Communications Office – OPT (website: http://www.opt.pf).
